The Curious Foxes
The Curious Foxes, #1
by Forseti Fox
A hastily scribbled note and a shadowy entity far more menacing than a mere ghost thrust two anthropomorphic foxes into a tangled narrative of magic and mystery. Forseti Fox, a former actor and current apothecary living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and Florence Johannson, an arctic fox from Chicago whose mother with a mysterious past vanished in a similarly mysterious fashion, are both cast in the role of intrepid investigators in an intriguing supernatural drama.
But Forseti is no stranger to the magical underbelly of the modern world. The fox spent the last few years of his life living amongst the Awngaimene society; a secretive sect of witches who deem the hidden nature of the society to be of the utmost importance, in order to protect the wider swath of unsuspecting animals blissfully naive to the magical horrors in their everyday lives. Despite a steadfast sense of assuredness that her mother was a part of the Awngaimene society, Florence is otherwise out of her depth. The tale begins at night, in autumn, and all things begin, quick and panicked.
