EveryLibrary, the national political action committee for libraries, is excited to announce “EveryLibrary Live! Banned Books Week 2024,” a groundbreaking online literary festival taking place across social media from September 22 to September 27, 2024. This event will bring together over 45 authors, publishing professionals, and free expression advocates across 25 online panels to discuss the joy of writing, the culture of reading, the challenges of censorship, and the celebration of the First Amendment.

Highlights of the Week Include:
·  Author Panels featuring acclaimed writers such as Jason Reynolds, Laurie Halse Anderson, Stephen Chbosky, Malinda Lo, Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, and Paula Poundstone.
·  Keynote Conversations with figures like Julia Quinn, beloved author of the Bridgerton series, and Justin Richardson and Peter Parnell, authors of And Tango Makes Three, and publishing industry insider Lisa Lucas.
·  Learning Sessions on critical topics like the First Amendment in libraries and schools with noted experts, including Dr. Emily Knox, discuss the impact of book bans and how to fight for the freedom to read.
